Back to school

I have recently decided the time is right to do more study, and today I received an enrollment pack in the mail, for a course in make-up artistry.
I have been interested in doing this course for years... even back when I was still at university studying Textile Design, I had a yearning to learn the art of make-up.
It will be a strange experience returning to study after four years of working (and a fair bit of laziness). I was laughing with Quinn earlier today about the fact I will be one of those 'Adult Students', in a class quite likely made up of many fresh faced 17 and 18 year olds. Ok so 26 (eek) isn't old, but I have grown and learned a lot since I was 18.
I am very excited though... hopefully enrollment all goes according to plan!

I am also waiting to hear in October whether I have job designing for another play at Bats Theatre! (fingers crossed!) and am also about to apply to Thistle Hall Gallery for an opportunity to have an exhibition of my paintings some time in the near future (fingers crossed again!)

So it looks like a busy time ahead for me. Can't wait!

  1. Good luck with the exhibition and the Bats job. Your paintings deserve to be shown.

  2. You could always do a few for my churches - people on crosses, and the like.

  3. Give it a go, and remember when you get in, and you're one of the more mature students in the class, you'll have to set a good example for the younger ones. You know, work hard, no partying, taking plenty of notes, never late for a class or a workshop etc.

    Have fun.

  4. The only thing stopping you is your own self belief. You shouldn't waste time talking with old Mr Doubt, he's always hanging around if you look for him, but I don't remember him helping anyone. Listen to what Shelley says - she might be your loudest fan, but we both know she never lies.
